Description

I Was Once Walking and Saw This is an artist's picture book. It was conceived and developed by the author to teach himself how to publish a book so as to publish his daughter's graphic novel. Since the author, a lawyer by trade, paints as a serious avocation, he took his paintings and added poems. Allan Alongi's debut book presents 33 vivid, color-soaked paintings. Each painting's title rolls into a poetic reflection. Some poems are silly, some more observant. They all riff on the painting and philosophy. The result is an arguably new-style art book for the coffee table or waiting room.
